Well, I’m clinching the three-peat with my third blog update in a row. I promise from now on to not address how little I typically update personal websites. Maybe I’m sticking with this because I enjoy Astro so much as a JS framework? Who knows. But let’s get to the latest stuff I’ve been working on.

Writing

I’ve ingested too much knowledge about guitars, amplifiers, music gear, and effects pedals over the years; it’s time to put that knowledge to good use. I did exactly that in my first MEGA LIST for The Hard Times- Every Boss Pedal and Which Band Its Owners Desperately Wish They Were In. This took me longer to write than any other published piece of creative writing I’ve done up to this point. But it was also fun, and gear afficianados seem to enjoy it!

Coding

When I was at Team Coco, one of my main responsibilities for years was to develop the Team Coco mobile app through multiple iterations. My second version moved from native Android and iOS code inherited from a 3rd party contractor to React Native. I used RN for years until the app was decomissioned in 2020. I haven’t look at React Native since– until this week.

I’ve had an idea for a mobile app inspired by Voice Memos on iOS for quite some time. Work has begun!
